Cleopatra is a seasoned political staffer and International Development professional

with extensive experience across Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and South Africa. Known for her ability to navigate complex political environments, she has built a distinguished career shaping public policy, diplomacy, and legislative affairs at the highest levels of government, including within Ministerial and Parliamentary offices.

She currently serves as a Parliamentary Assistant in Canada’s House of Commons,

where she supports Members of Parliament in legislative review, committee work, and policy development. In this role, she prepares high-level briefings, conducts in-depth research, and provides strategic advice on complex domestic and international issues.

 

Her experience spans both federal and provincial politics, including work within the

Canadian Parliament and the Ontario Legislative Assembly, where she contributed to advancing policy discussions on international development and other issues.

A committed advocate for gender equity, Cleopatra has actively engaged in global

policy dialogues, including contributions to the United Nations Commission on the

Status of Women and forums surrounding the United Nations General Assembly.

 

Her work consistently champions the rights of women and girls, with a focus on inclusion, equality, and access to opportunity.

 

Beyond government, Cleopatra plays a vital role in community leadership and diaspora engagement. She serves on multiple boards and advisory initiatives, including as a Board Director with Canada for Africa Group, where she supports partnerships in trade, education, technology, and sustainable development.

 

She holds a Master of Political Management from Carleton University, a Master of

Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University (USA), and a

bachelor’s degree in international development studies from the University of East

Anglia (UK). Fluent in five languages, Cleopatra brings a global perspective and a

results-driven approach to advancing equitable and sustainable societies.
